showcase

Colby has been taking classes at the Little Gym for a few months now, and today was "Showcase Day."  Parents were invited in during the last five minutes of class for the kids to show off their skills.  Colby was acting sort of shy, but he did a great job on the bars and was super proud to have Brooke and I there.  (Brooke randomly had the day off school, which worked out really well.)

After the Showcase, Miss Amy presented each child with a trophy.  Colby's reaction was hysterical, but you better believe he carried that cheap trophy around for days, haha.  He asked me why he got a trophy, and I tried to explain that it was for his "hard work" during class. I think he sees it more as running around playing (mostly true), but he is learning a thing or two about gymnastics and balance :)
