Florida Friends

The Amorim Family came to visit in August, which is the third time they have come to visit us.  Sadly, we have not been back to Florida :(  Hopefully this does not reflect poorly on our commitment to the friendship, but it is a little tricky to balance vacation time when lots of our family members live out of state as well.  Thankfully, the Amorims had a dual purpose in visiting this time, as they are making arrangements to move to the great state of Texas. We are excited!!  They stayed with us for 2 weeks, and were able to check out several areas, schools, apartments, etc.  The time passed quickly, but we enjoyed those late evening hours when all the kids were asleep and we could actually have adult conversation, haha.

It was a little tricky getting a decent picture of the kids without someone (or an appendage) being blurry...but this was the best we could do, haha.
The below picture was from their visit almost a year earlier...
We are excited for their move so that we can spend some much-needed time together :)

Photoshoot

Considering that I haven't updated this blog for 3 months, it is time to get my act together.  Brooke has changed SO much in the last few months, and I want to document it all.  In July, my friend Danielle took Brooke's one year photos.  I had seen an image on pinterest that I was IN LOVE with.  The little girl was sitting on a bridge with a ginormous balloon.  I quickly ordered a similar balloon on amazon, ended up paying $5 for helium since the thing was 3 feet in diameter, and barely managed to fit the dang thing in the cab of the truck.  Thankfully I had realized that I would need to switch vehicles with Kevin before actually getting the balloon inflated in all it's glory :)
Brooke loved her big balloon, and amazingly, the thing is still inflated to this day.  So, I guess it was worth the $5 of helium for months of entertainment, haha.
Thanks Danielle for capturing our sweet girl in these pictures!!
