road trip-day two

As we left breakfast, Brooke stashed her fruit away in her pockets. Goofy little girl :)

All packed and ready to head out for day two of travel!

Snow on the ground and mountains in the distance could only mean that we were getting closer to our destination!! Taos, here we come!

We stopped for lunch and the kids couldn't wait to step into that puffy snow. 

As we headed into town, we stopped to get our ski rentals.  The kids also convinced us to buy them some sleds, which ended up being a great purchase. 

With a high of 32 and a low of -1 for the week, we knew we were gonna need ALL the layers!!  Just looking at these pictures makes me cold.  The kids found some amazing icicles, which immediately became wands...

We grabbed dinner, then headed to our hotel to unload all the things, including our ski rentals. I wondered if this trip would have the same magical "vibe" as our last trip when we stayed in a cabin in the woods, but it was great in it's own way.
