We can't go to parks or playgrounds, but thankfully, we can still go to the lake!! The weather has been beautiful and we have enjoyed some amazing family time together. The water is still like 60 degrees, but my kids are brave and jumped in anyway. It nearly took Colby's breath away the first time and he said he thought he was sinking (out of panic, I think).
I was attempting to take a picture of Brooke's ever-increasing freckles, so of course she started doing the silliest of faces...We ordered a little collapsible oar to keep in the boat, and the kids thought it was just about the greatest thing. They played with it at home in their canoe (aka couch), and were eager to practice "paddling the boat around."
Look at that sunset!! It was a reminder to me of the beautiful world we live in and the way God shows His love, even amid a global pandemic.
Our Friday night tradition is pizza and a movie at home, but on this particular Friday, we decided to take our tradition to the lake.
I adore these crazy, beautiful, silly, happy, and smart little ones...
Colby thinks he looks "so weird" when he pulls his hair back like this, haha. He definitely looks different, but whenever he does it, Kevin comments to me that Colby is gonna have this same hairline.
It was pretty breezy that night, but Colby still wanted to surf with Daddy. I have mentioned this on the blog before, but one thing I love about Colby is his desire to be involved in whatever activities are available. Especially if his Daddy is doing them :)
When the sun finally set, we put on our sweats and bundled up for a movie and cuddles. The first movie we started had some language (WHY do they do this in kid movies??), so we switched to a short show, then let the kids continue watching while we drove back to the marina.
We have definitely been loving our "social distancing" at the lake!!
