Brooke started off the month crocheting beanies for Kevin and Colby. Not too shabby for not having a pattern and just figuring it out as she went along.
Colby fell asleep during one of the late BYU games, but I spy Kevin rocking the new beanie.
You know I love Sunday pics of my little ones...
My friend Catie Villescas invited us over for dinner and Colby became fast friends with their cat. Sometimes I feel bad that we don't have a pet for the kids, but I don't want a dog and Kevin doesn't want a cat, so we are destined to be a no-pet family I guess.
I have always loved the Daulton Veteran's Day program and this year was no exception. I am so grateful for those that have fought for our country! And for Colby's amazing teachers, Mrs. Howell and Mrs. Evans. They truly are THE BEST!
I look kind of crazy, but I was SO proud of Colby (and myself, haha) for beating our previous record and running 10 laps!
Street hockey with friends never disappoints! Brooke was super happy that her triplet friends showed up, and although Colby wasn't happy that he missed the first half due to football practice, it was a valuable lesson about commitment to his team.
When Tracy's visit back to Texas for Doug's follow-up coincided perfectly with Danielle's birthday!! Love these girls so much. We just can't figure out how to cram all the things we want to do within a few short days!
Colby made the coolest rose from some of Brooke's leftover modeling clay and immediately decided that it would be for his teacher. So he painted it and was eager to take it to school the next day. He is the sweetest boy and adores Mrs. Howell.
Last minute lunch date with Colby :) I'm starting a new teletherapy assignment after Thanksgiving and when I realized that I wouldn't be able to have lunch with Colby for the rest of the school year, I quickly rushed over to the school.
We attended the spirit night at the Arlington Skatium and it was just as fun as always! Brooke was happy that Marlie was there to hang out with.
Not surprisingly, Mrs. Howell showed up to skate with the kids.
Colby found some paracord in the garage and asked me to send this picture to Kevin asking if he could PLEASE use it to make bracelets, haha. Kevin said yes and Colby was a very happy kid.
I don't remember exactly when this happened, but we were roasting marshmallows one evening and a marshmallow fell off the roasting stick and landed right on Colby's nose. He swatted it off, but it left a nasty burn that took days to heal.
Brooke was invited to go see Wicked with the Byrds, so Colby and I enjoyed a date to Academy and Torchy's Tacos.
I love this boy and we both love the queso :)
We went on a Friday night date to Six Flags. After taking a wrong turn in the park, we arrived 5 minutes late to the show we were trying to watch, but it was still a really fun evening.
The kids were eager to decorate for Christmas BEFORE our camping trip (it's own post), but I just couldn't do it until after our trip was over and all the laundry was done. So we spent a day decorating, putting camping gear away, and randomly making breadsticks (Brooke). What can I say, my girl likes to cook and bake these days!!
Her and Colby had been playing with his bow and arrows, hence the need for the old Pocahontas dress that barely fits.
Can't wait to kick off the Christmas season, but grateful for the November memories as well!
