bass pro santa

We made our annual trip to the Bass Pro Shop one day after work.  It's an adventure from the moment you step in the door...
Brooke definitely looked the part with her Texas cowgirl boots that our sweet friend Maddy gave her a few years ago :)
Our Texas babies...
We've taken a picture in front of this tree for many years...
We had an an appointment, but since we were early and nobody was in line, we walked right up to see Santa.  He was so sweet to the kids and kept teasing them about what gifts they were asking for.  I adore the pictures of their reactions.
Colby was there for the activities, haha.  They shot laser rifles at assorted animals, then used the cross bows to knock down the ducks.
No trip to Bass Pro is complete without climbing on all the 4-wheelers...
Checking out the enormous fish...
Playing with the merchandise...
(Clearly, they were ready for a backpacking adventure.)
Then the kids wrote letters to Santa...
We wandered the shop a bit more to look at ALL the things, but the kids eventually made their way back to the kid's area and decided to build with the Lincoln Logs.
Brooke was pretty attached to this cute fox stuffed animal, but since I assured her that she didn't need any more stuffed animals, we settled for a picture instead.
We stayed at Bass Pro for way too long, went for peppermint milkshakes on the drive home, and were all exhausted the next day.  But it was definitely worth it!!  We love these family traditions and time spent together.
