We had a free Saturday, which meant that we were on the lake as a family! Jerry and Bev were going to join us as well, but they didn't end up coming down until dinnertime. It was probably the most low-key day we've had on the lake, which meant that it was full of laying out, hanging out, and watching our littles. The lake was actually pretty choppy, so the one time Colby did try to wakeboard, it was a wild ride, haha. But of course he still loved every minute of it! I was just a nervous boat driver :/
Work has been really awful for Kevin, so I told him that his weekend goal needed to be rejuvenating his spirit. I really wish that he could get his staffing issues under control, but he said it best when he commented that things couldn't possibly get worse. It's something we pray about daily, so I am hoping that they get better quickly!
But I feel pretty confident in saying that we completed the weekend's mission of rejuvenating Kevin's spirit. He loves being at the lake, but he also loves just being around the family.
His parents brought the yummiest food from Hard 8 BBQ for dinner, and we enjoyed the rest of the evening just hanging out together. Family really is the best blessing!
