flower mound pumpkin patch

We had our annual trip to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch in mid-October :) They didn't open on time due to weather, which was frustrating since I woke the kids up early to get there right when they opened, but what can you do?  Apparently it was a muddy mess and they were short-staffed, so it was going to take a while to get things in order. We had rain and high winds the night before, so it all made sense.  So we switched gears and went to Grandma's house to hang out for a few hours, then headed over to the patch once we saw an update online that they were open.   It was hot and crowded by the time we got in, but we made the most of it!

It was extra fun to have Aunt Annette there with us as well :)
We always get a picture of Grandma and the grandkids...
Family pic, even though Brooke was being stubborn about it!  When will they learn that it's much easier to just comply and move on, haha?
But she was super sweet on the hot and dusty hay ride, so I forgave her for being difficult!
I have no idea how this seahorse has anything to do with the pumpkin patch, but the kids love it!
Cousin snack time in the shade...
They especially love this giant hay stack!  Colby and I definitely paid the price for playing in the hay because our allergies were awful for a few days, but it was fun while it lasted.
I already had the few pictures I wanted, but all the cousins climbed into the chair, so we took a few more.
Colby even requested a sibling picture...
There was SO much hay, and despite the heat, they had a blast!
I assumed they were too big for the barrel train ride, but I was down-right wrong in that assumption!
Even Auntie Mel Mel joined in on the fun...
While the other kids played with the horses through the fence, Kinley relaxed next to Grandma.  I love this picture of them!!
After picking out tiny pumpkins (Grandma's treat), we went back to the house to celebrate Grandma's birthday.  Aunt Annette had taught the kids her famous bundt cake recipe, and they were all excited to sample it.
Happy birthday, Grandma!!  We loved our day together :)
