Kevin's only Father's Day request was Entenmann's Devil's Food donuts, and we delivered :) Along with some chocolate Shakeology, cards, and a gift (beard trimmer) which the children managed to keep a secret for the whole 5 days before we gave it to him, haha.
Brooke and Colby were excited to wake Daddy up, and I love their sleepy faces and pajamas.Colby was so proud of the card that he wrote all by himself, and Brooke wrote a sweet note and drew him an entire zoo picture.
We did our usual church at home, then went to the porch for a few quick pictures. (We'll remember which of these were taken during quarantine since we always have bare feet, haha.) Kevin is such an amazing father and takes this role very seriously. I was just reading in Brooke's baby book about how he always thinks of the words from the family proclamation to "preside, provide, and protect." He does all of those things with so much love, care, and patience. He always puts our family first, and adores these children that made him a father. He has such a unique relationship with both of them, one that continues to blossom every single day and with each new experience.
I jumped in what I thought would be the last one, but then Kevin started being silly and things just got out of hand...
I love this crazy crew so very much!
After our photo session, we quickly changed and headed up to Flower Mound to enjoy the rest of the day as a family. Brooke always wants to hold sweet baby Emery...
Papa requested a picture with his grandkids, and the kids made sure the name pillow (which we gifted to Grandma for Mother's Day) made an appearance, haha.
These kids are SO loved, and it was nice to celebrate the wonderful dads in our family!
