We had plans to celebrate Colby's birthday with extended family, but thanks to COVID exposure, it was just the four of us. We were bummed that it didn't go according to plan, but it was still great bonding time!
The kids especially loved the "Warrior Course"...
The climbing...
And the foam pit. Colby even convinced me to do a front flip into the pit with him :)As soon as we went home, Colby was ready to dig into his cake. That's an awful lot of cake for 4 people, but his excitement was adorable. He had talked about a Star Wars cake for months, switched to a Pikachu cake a week before his birthday, and finally settled on Ninja Turtles after confirming with the bakery that the skateboard wheels could actually roll :)
Although his celebration didn't go according to plan, he still said he had a great day!
A week later, Grandma and Papa came over to give Colby his gift and have a mini-celebration, complete with hostess cupcakes. We sure love our Colby Boy! He gives the best snuggles, loves to play pretend with Brooke, loves all sports and anything active, loves to read books together, is a total "sugar man" (loves treats), and is the cutest little guy around. I couldn't imagine my life without this little guy in it!!
