It was a bittersweet day, but we sold the Honda, or "silver car" as the kids called it. Kevin has been driving that car since 2004, so it has definitely served us well! Over 200,000 miles to be exact! We haven't had many issues with it, but due to its age, Kevin was feeling less confident in driving it at higher speeds on the freeway. I think he was also just really ready for a change.
I detailed it in preparation for listing, and although it took a little longer than we hoped, we were able to sell it to a really nice woman who was purchasing the car for her teenage son.
The woman and her son came to Certifit to see the vehicle, so when I dropped off the necessary paperwork, I embarrassed Kevin by taking one last picture of him.
But Kevin was the instigator of this photo with the proud new owner of his car :)
We dropped the car off that night for them since the son didn't have his license yet, and it was honestly kind of strange to drive away. But Kevin felt good knowing that a new kid would enjoy the Honda.
His mom told us that he would be driving to and from his job at Torchy's Tacos in Mansfield, and the fun part of the story is that we saw him there a few times! The first time we did't say anything, but the second time, he approached us and asked if we were the previous owners of his car. We had a fun conversation with him and he said that he's been super happy with the car, and even added a back-up camera and Apple Carplay. Brooke played softball near Torchy's, so we actually saw the car parked there quite frequently :)
