Day four started with a surprise visit from some kitties. Colby opened the door and freaked out to find a cat standing there, but they were both SO happy to play with them.
Although we planned on skiing at Angel Fire on our second outing, we decided to check out Red River to see if that resort was more in line with our beginner ski level. A friend of mine is familiar with a lot of the ski resorts in this area, and said Red River had an incredible ski school and bunny hill. We didn't want to pay for ski school, but after seeing the larger and steeper bunny hill, Kevin suggested that we buy afternoon passes for the kids to practice before our next planned ski day. I decided that I needed just as much practice as the kids, so the three of us spent a few hours honing our skills while Kevin watched from an observation deck. He's definitely a good sport and assured me that it was fun to watch us :)Definitely a fun day with the littles. And we all felt WAY more confident by the end of the afternoon!
I'm not a fan of these low angle pics, but you take what you can get when you ask a random stranger to take your family photo, haha. But the important thing is that we were all excited to return the next day for a family adventure!!
